Due to rapid site expansion, you will now find a new WARS Menu heading, which will merge the World War I and World War II sections as sub-menu’s.
The World War One section is special to me, because a grandfather I had never known, was in the war. I first learned of him and his service when I was five years old. I have all his letters and postcards from WWI Boot camps and some from his brief stint in France, just before the Armistice. You will also find posts on general World War I history as well.
World War II , is also dear to my heart, in that my dad, his buddies and my uncles, all served in World War II. Dad was a Navigator Instructor, most of my uncles served in the Navy, and some of the sisters served in the Red Cross. Included is general World War Two history.
