Forgotten Heroe’s
My friend Bill Naud, heĀ of OJI-Spy Girls at the Gate book, suggested a new section, titled…you guessed it, Forgotten Heroe’s. It started, when we were researching a crew-member in the famous Ploesti Oil Refinery Raids. The gentleman was an RAF gunner and had volunteered for the mission. We have been trying to get this fellows bio, find out if he received medals or honors for his service, even though he was not an official member of the crews. So far, we have come up empty handed.
Bill’s idea was to have a Forgotten Heroe’s section, where we can post whatever info we can come up with, then let you, the visitor/member fill in any blanks if you can.
I have also decided to expand this section, and add interesting Forgotten Hero’s of past wars, which I have a lot of information on.
**If you have any additional links or sources, please sendĀ them to me by email. If you have any personal knowledge, photographs or other information, they have to be either in the Public Domain, personal knowledge with a release that I can used the material or copyright release, from whoever holds the material. If I use any of your material or images, I would be happy to post your name and/or website/blog, as contributor.
