A MESSAGE FROM SGT. MAC

My blog started out as a way to research and explore my families military history. It was also a way for me to write about our history and preserve it for my kids and grand-kids.

The site, has since expanded from a family history search into a quest for military history. To that end, this blog features both…some of the families military history, as well as general military history.

Where relevant, I give some personal insight, whether it be myself, or a family member into some particular subject. Other times, I write about a military subject that has always fascinated me, or one that I came upon, which peaks my interest.

Hopefully all or some of these stories will interest you, as much as they do me. I love interaction with other folks, so if you have an opinion or want to discuss a subject, please feel free to leave a comment!

WHAT’S NEW?

• Working on a free E-Book, on how to, research a loved ones military records with links, etc. Also editing several personal military stories, others have written about family member(s). These will be added to the Research section, with links and information, that may be helpful to you.

• Reviews:  I review everything from ammo, to books to products and websites. Check out the Review section for ad and review pricing. Currently reading one book, another on the way, and reviewing another product.
  

• Finally have been able to work on the   Forgotten Hero’s section. Typically these are hero’s of past conflicts who have been forgotten over time, and who I would like to re-introduce to the the public.  (If you know of someone interesting, you would like me to research and write about, please email me).

• Have several books in the works, but a slow slog. Seeds of History is in final edit. Civil Air Patrol-Fun & Drama in a Blue Uniform, is in draft mode. A third and very long project, AF Days, is lagging, but have a lot of rough drafts.

• The blog has steadily grown over the past two years, and consumes a great deal of my time. I am currently thinking about adding some guest posts on various subjects. Please contact me, if interested. (Reward is non-monetary, however, I will be glad to give you credit and link to your site or blog and even mention you on Twitter and Facebook).
